Lake houses and bare boobs...
Yesterday was probably the day I will remember most out of my time in Canada. We had the privilege of being invited for lunch at Doug Sneyd’s home.   Doug is most famous for his work as a cartoonist for Plaboy.  You should also know that he is one of the nicest, humble and talented persons I’ve had the privilege to meet in my life. We got a full tour of his house and studio, where...

And then there was light!
This week we studied light, which means that we spent the better part of the week painting boxes and spheres and cylinders. You can see the improvement from painting to painting. The cube looks quite flat compared to the others.

A hundred bad drawings and Bouguereau
My art teachers used to say that you have to do at least a hundred bad drawings before you get any good at it, of course you never got around to doing that many drawings in class, so you just had to take their word for it. The next day (Saturday) was our day off.  We went to the city, walked around for a couple of hours. After all the climate changes between outdoors and...

Getting a head
Day 4 of the imaginism studio workshop.  We spent all Tuesday learning how to draw heads.  I started out horribly but we kept practising and practising.  We had to draw 50 heads for out homework. They don’t seem like that many when I look at them all together, but at times at thought it might take me forever (forever turned out to be only about four hours by the way). Wensday was a pretty...

Imasinism Workshop Day 1, Believe
“If you belive you can draw it, then you will do it” My mon always used to tell me “todo cabe en un jarrito sabiendolo acomodar” (everithing fits in a vase if you know how to put it there).  Well I guess that If you were to ask Thierry he would say that everything fits in a box.  This week is all about stucture, and learning to see things in 3 plains. We satarted off...

After dinner we had some time to get acuainted...
